After graduating with MBBS from Government Medical College Kozhikode in 1990, he pursued MS in General Surgery in Government Medical College, Kottayam, in 1998. Thereafter he pursued MCh in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from Government Medical College Thiruvananthapuram, in 2004. Then he did MRCS from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburg, UK. Later, he did Fellowship in Adult Cardiac Surgery in King’s College, London, UK, 2009-2011 and Senior Fellowship in Cardiac Surgery in Brighton and Sussex University Hospital, Brighton, UK, 2011-2014.
