Dr. Sonal Asthana is a Lead Consultant in HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) & Liver Transplant Surgery at Aster Hospitals, with nearly two decades of expertise in the field. As a highly skilled Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Multi-organ Transplant Surgeon, he has extensive experience performing liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, as well as clinical islet cell transplants. Dr. Asthana is also proficient in the surgical management of diseases affecting the liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, and pancreas, including cancers and small bowel transplants.

Dr. Asthana completed his MBBS and MS from JIPMER, Pondicherry, followed by MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
